Whether you’re a school wishing to commence steelpan lessons from the very begining, an individual looking for serious commitment or simply want to learn something new and have fun while doing it, there’s nothing more important than being taught by an experienced specialist Steelpan Music Teacher. I’ve been offering my services to people of all ages in London since 1997, and I’m here to give you the personalised attention you deserve so that you can reach your full potential.
MY STORY
Personalised, Unique, Fun.
I have been very fortunate to teach my passion, the steelpans to many students over the years. The steelpan instrument is for anyone, no matter your ability. I recognise the potential in each one of my students. With my customisable approach I’ve seen my students musical abilities and self-esteem consistently rise. Even with mixed ability steel band groups each group can achieve their maximum potential.
As well as playing the steelpans I compose and arrange music and also play the Flute, Saxophone, French Horn, Drums and the Piano. As well as teaching I also play in various professional steel bands. I have taken part and been successful in many music festivals and competitions in the UK and abroad. I love what I do and it makes me happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a peripatetic music teacher in 1997, my students have achieved excellent results. All my students have a 100% pass rate for GCSE, BTEC and A-Level music performance work. I am a very patient and adaptable professional music teacher and have worked with the young to elderly people, children with disabilities and children with learning difficulties. Steel band lessons are taught through learning a wide variety of genres of music increasing in complexity. As the children develop their musical skills. Musical parts are tailored to each pannist.
Rates from £45 per hour tutor only or from £58 for a tutor including steelpans and accessories.
